III to earn Academic All-Ohio honors as selected by a committee comprised of members of the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association.  There were 10 players selected in the four boys and girls divisions of play.  Wank, a 5-10 forward, averaged 14.6 points this season and 6.1 rebounds, both team highs, as the Wildcats finished the season 9-14 overall and 7-7 in the Northern Buckeye Conference.  Academically, Wank has a 4.0 GPA and will attend The Ohio State University to study nursing in the Scholars Program.  She would like to become a pediatric oncologist.  Critieria for selection to the Academic All-Ohio team includes such things as the player's GPA, ACT score, and class rank along with their basketball statistics.  A player must be a senior to make the team.

Baseball Fundraiser:  The Wildcats varsity baseball team will play Gibsonburg at Fifth Third Field on Sat., May 3, at 4 p.m.  In order to play the game at Fifth Third Field, each team is asked to sell vouchers to Mud Hens games this summer. The baseball team is currently selling those Mud Hen vouchers for $10 which can be redeemed at the Fifth Third Field box office for one ticket to any game this season, except opening day and playoffs.  If you are interested in purchasing a Mud Hens voucher, contact any member of the high school baseball team or call the high school office at (419) 862-2721.
